Services We Offer

What we can do for your place

Kitchen remodeling and bathroom renovations in full, including the plumbing and electrical they depend on. Holiday Kitchens cabinetry, countertops templated to the installed cabinets, tile and proper waterproofing, lighting, interior work throughout, and handyman jobs when that is all you need.

A town of condominiums and small block houses

Juno Beach is a narrow strip between the ocean and the Intracoastal, and its housing reflects that. Condominium buildings line A1A and US-1, many of them from the 1970s and 80s, and behind them sit smaller concrete-block houses from the 1960s and 70s on modest lots. The Preserve is the town’s one genuinely gated single-family community.

What that means practically is that most remodeling here is either a condo job with a board attached, or a compact house where the gain comes from making better use of the space rather than adding to it. Both are work we are glad to take.

The condo job, honestly described

The tiling is the easy part. What actually determines whether a condo remodel goes well is everything around it.

Your building will want an approval packet before a tool arrives: scope, drawings, our license, insurance certificates naming the association, and a schedule. There will be a service elevator with a booking sheet and pads that go up before anything comes in. There will be delivery windows and working hours, and in some buildings those tighten during season. Above all there is the plumbing: in a stack building, the pipes behind your wall serve other people’s apartments, so a shut-off is an event that gets scheduled and notified rather than decided on the morning.

Some buildings ask for notice before work starts, and the period is not the same from one to the next. Give us your building’s rules with the plans and we will program the job around them and deal with the management company ourselves.

Ocean air, and what survives it

A few hundred yards from the Atlantic, material choice stops being a matter of taste alone. Plated finishes pit. Unsealed stone marks. Hinges and runners that would last inland corrode early. We specify stainless and solid brass, sealed surfaces, cabinet finishes that tolerate humidity, and extraction that genuinely moves damp air out of a bathroom rather than around it. You are welcome to overrule us, but you will hear the reasoning first.

If the apartment is empty for the summer

A great deal of our year is spent working in homes whose owners are north, and in a building that is often the only time the work is welcome. Choose everything before you fly, leave a key, follow it in photographs, come back to a finished room. Many boards here restrict renovation to the quiet months anyway, and their calendars differ, so we build the schedule around yours.

Questions from Juno Beach

Can we move the kitchen or the bathroom to a different wall?

Sometimes in a house, rarely in a condominium, and the limit is drainage rather than design. Waste needs fall, and in a stack building the stack is where it is. We will tell you quickly whether your idea is possible instead of drawing something that cannot be built.

What is realistic for a small block house?

A surprising amount. Taking out a non-structural wall between the kitchen and the living room transforms the ground floor of those houses, and better storage and lighting do more than square footage. We will look at what the walls are doing before promising anything.

Will the board let us do this at all?

Almost always, on their terms. Boards are protective of the building, not obstructive, and they respond well to a properly documented submission from a licensed and insured contractor. That is the part we take off your hands.
