Services We Offer

What we do here

Kitchens and bathrooms in full, with the plumbing and electrical they depend on. Holiday Kitchens cabinetry, counters templated once the cabinets are set, tile and real waterproofing, lighting, interior work through the rest of the house, and handyman jobs by themselves.

Small mid-century houses with more potential than they look

Lake Park is largely a town of 1950s and 60s concrete-block houses on tidy lots, built solidly and laid out for a way of living that has moved on. Small kitchen at the back, walled off from everything. One bathroom, sometimes two, usually original in layout if not in fittings.

Those houses reward remodeling more than almost any others we work on, because the gains are so visible. Take out a non-structural wall and the whole ground floor changes. Replace a cramped run of cabinets with full-height storage and the kitchen stops feeling small. Rebuild the bathroom properly and it will outlast the rest of the house. Concrete block is also a good thing to work with: solid, stable, and honest about what it is doing.

Check under the carpet before you buy flooring

There is a decent chance of terrazzo under whatever is down now. It was standard in Florida houses of this era, it was poured by people who were very good at it, and it is a better floor than most things sold today. If it is sound, grinding and polishing it usually costs less than new flooring and looks considerably better. We will lift a corner and tell you what you have before you commit to covering it up.

Honest money, honestly spent

Not every house needs a luxury kitchen and we will not sell you one. In a town like this the best return usually comes from spending properly on the things that fail – cabinets that are actually built to last, a bathroom waterproofed correctly behind the tile, electrics brought up to what a modern kitchen demands – and being sensible about the things that are purely decorative. A quartz counter and good cabinetry in a 1950s block house is money well spent. A specification borrowed from a country-club kitchen is not.

We are glad to quote a full renovation, and equally glad to quote just the bathroom, or just the cabinets, or a single day of handyman work. Small jobs are real jobs.

The condominiums on the water

Along the Intracoastal there are waterfront condominium buildings including Bay Reach and Lake Harbour Towers, and a condo remodel runs differently from a house: a board approval packet before anything starts, a service elevator to book, delivery windows, set working hours and shared plumbing stacks that make a shut-off a scheduled event. Send us the building’s rules with the plans and we will program the job around them.

Questions we get in Lake Park

Is it worth remodeling a small 1950s house, or should we move?

That depends on the house and on you, and we will give you a straight answer. Block houses of that era are usually structurally sound, which means the money goes into the parts you use rather than into fixing the shell. If we think a job is not worth doing, we will say so.

We only want the bathroom done. Is that too small a job?

No. A single bathroom is a perfectly normal job for us, and it is often where we start with a house. Same license, same crew, same five-year written warranty on the workmanship.

Who issues the permit here?

The Town of Lake Park runs its own building department, so work that moves plumbing or electrical goes through the town rather than the county. We make the application.

Call 561-244-9960 and we will come and price it honestly, or send the form below. We also work in North Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
