Services We Offer

What we do, county-wide

Kitchens and bathrooms in full, plumbing and electrical included. Holiday Kitchens cabinetry, countertops templated to the installed cabinets, tile and modern waterproofing, lighting, interior work in any room, and handyman jobs when that is all that is needed. The kitchen in the photographs below – white cabinetry, brass hardware, a quartz island – is a county job.

If your town does not have its own page

It does not mean we do not work there. The county is large, and we cover a great deal of it. Greenacres, Lantana, Hypoluxo, Palm Springs and Lake Clarke Shores are all inside our normal working area, along with the unincorporated pockets in between that do not really belong to any town at all. If you are in one of those, this is your page, and the answer is yes.

Who issues the permit, and why it matters to you

This is the question that catches out more county homeowners than any other, and it is worth understanding before you get a quotation.

If your house sits inside an incorporated municipality, that municipality’s building department handles the permit. Many of the towns here run their own, each with its own process, fees and timelines. If your house sits in unincorporated county – and a great deal of the western county does, including some very well-known gated communities whose mailing addresses suggest otherwise – the application goes to Palm Beach County instead.

The practical consequences are real: different timelines, different inspection scheduling, and sometimes a different answer about what is permitted at all. We establish which applies to your address before quoting, so the schedule we give you is one we can keep. An association’s rules then sit on top of whichever it is.

Hurricane country changes the specification

Anything involving a window or an exterior opening runs into the building code here, and that is a good thing badly explained by most contractors. Impact glazing, proper fixing, and inspection at the right stage are not optional extras. Inland, humidity is still the enemy of a badly built bathroom. Near the coast, salt adds itself to the list. We specify for where your house actually is rather than applying one materials list to the whole county.

Whether you are here all year or not

A good share of our work happens in the summer months, in houses whose owners are north. Choose the finishes in spring, leave a key, follow it in photographs, come back to a finished room. For the many county residents who are here year-round, it is the opposite skill and we have had thirty years of practice at it: dust properly contained, the house still liveable, the site tidied daily.

Standards that do not change by postcode

Waterproofing behind tile, where bathrooms fail in this climate and where nobody looks twice. American-made Holiday Kitchens cabinetry with a limited lifetime warranty, inspected in a climate-controlled warehouse and installed by our own crew rather than a subcontractor. Counters templated to what is actually installed. Five years of written warranty on the workmanship.

Questions from around the county

I am not sure whether I am in a town or in unincorporated county. Can you find out?

Yes, and we do it before quoting. It is not always obvious from the address, and getting it wrong costs weeks. We will tell you which authority applies and what that means for your dates.

Do you charge more to work at the far end of the county?

No surcharge by postcode. What can affect a quotation is genuinely difficult access, a long single-track approach, or delivery restrictions – and if that applies we will say so in the quotation rather than discovering it later.
